I'm hoping one of my design obsessed readers can help out Jen who emailed me about finding the pendant lamp that she saw at the J. Crew store in Palm Desert, California. When she called the store, they were less than helpful and said they couldn't remember where they bought it and suggested Lamps Plus which Jen and I both checked to no avail. I also checked all of my sources and came up with nothing.
My first thought was that maybe it was vintage before she told me that it was in the J. Crew store which she said looked very Hollywood Regency and not like any other usual Preppy looking store. But it doesn't look like anything else I've seen available that's new. If anyone has any idea where this lamp is from, Jen and I would really appreciate your help because now she has me obsessed with where it came from too! Thanks!.jpg)
***UPDATE*** The lamp has been found thanks to Breck who suggested Remains Lighting and Liisa who actually found it online. Here is the link, http://www.remains.com/item_HL2617.18.aspx. I know Jen and a few other readers who emailed me will be very excited! I knew you guys could do it! Thanks!

sure looks vintage to moi, but i can't imagine j. crew using anything vintage in their stores- they are so uniform in their store decor.
a puzzle.
Maybe contact corporate?
Beautiful - just bought up glass baubles to put on display just like this at Restoration Hardware. (No, didn't see any lamps like it though.) It does look vintage - such a departure for J Crew - am curious to see the actual store! I'd be contacting them again and asking who is the store's stylist.
looks like a major chore to change those lightbulbs. :)
I'm pretty sure it's from Remains Lighting.
breck is right

antique brass finish?
You guys are the BEST! Thank you so much for posting this and thanks to your readers for finding it! I have been obsessed for weeks.
Wow, that's a beautiful lamp. Great sleuthing.
that was fun... give us another task. oh, mysterious H.C.
RJD, I'm so glad Jen brought this lamp to all of our attention. It really is beautiful!
Lissa, you're too funny! You can help me find a reasonably priced Zebra skin rug if you want! I can only find them for upwards of $1000 and I don't want the printed cheap one from Calypso because it sheds. I would actually love a vintage one from the 20's or 30's that has a great patina.
Damn, you beat me to it...I just figured it out and was about to let you know...but I'm too slow!
