Apparently everyone at work thinks I'm good at picking out fabrics and scheming which is why I was asked to go the D&D (Design & Decoration) Building yesterday to find options to present to a new client. If you've never been, it's an interesting place. Sometimes I'm made to feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman before the makeover and other times I have to explain that the purple and pink combination for which I'm searching is for a client and not me. But the Romo showroom is like a breath of fresh air. It's clean and inviting and the employees couldn't be nicer. The have great fabrics and wallcoverings in an array of colors and patterns. I wish I was designing a house in the Hamptons because the Manderley Collection in Alpine would be perfect! Tuesday, August 19, 2008

..and I wish I had a house in the Hamptons, cause then I would hire you as my very own decorator.
Lovely and witty post.
Lovely pictures - where did the lucite table come from it's gorgeous ?
PVE, You're too sweet! Maybe if we both keep working hard we'll be able to buy homes in the Hamptons!
Sydney - I'm not sure about the table. I can try to contact Romo and find out.
I love Romo. excellent post..and yes, Hampton's would be sublime :) Maybe the console is Alan Knight?
That lucite table is AWESOME! I would love to know it is from if you find out! I'll definitely be checking out the ROMO website as I need some fabric options for my dining room chairs! Fun! Thanks for the post!
Those chairs in the first image are divine. What a great find!
Don't they know who you are?! Their mistake....
These are beautiful - the muted colours are wonderful.
