Art in Design

One interior designer who I think has a great eye for art is Atlanta based Suzanne Kasler. I've always admired her work but have surprisingly never profiled her on the blog. Her style is definitely traditional but never stuffy and I think sometimes that might be due to the modern abstract art that either she chooses or her clients collect. Either way, I love it and all the interesting details in her interiors...even the all the pink!

I agree. A good eye for art. And good at hanging it.

Kasler featured the most interesting art in her room at the Christmas showhouse in Atlanta. Most of it was by Ingrid Dee Magidson, and I have never seen anything like it. Here is her website: http://www.ingridmagidson.com/

I've noticed over the years that alot of Atlanta-based designers have impeccable taste and a true gift for comining elements, something in the water perhaps? The touches of pink show she is fearless in her vision.

I have always admired her work, and a "deep blue" dining room that she did with a collection of chairs.
Perfect for "Sunday Suppers."

That first space is absolutely to die for! I want to sit there and leaf through a giant art book or something.
