Oscar Elegance at Lee Jofa

I had a very busy day yesterday which also included a meeting at the D&D Building.  While I was there, I decided to see if the Oscar de la Renta room was finished at the Lee Jofa showroom.  Every season Lee Jofa installs a fabulous room devoted to one of their fabric designers.  I wasn't sure anything could top the lovely room by interior designer Eric Cohler but the new Oscar de la Renta room with its gorgeous green walls and luxurious bed definitely takes the cake.  It reminds me a lot of the de la Renta's bedroom in their house in Connecticut that I posted a few months ago.  Needless to say, I am as in love with the new Oscar fabrics as I am with the artwork in the room.  I'm sure Oscar de la Renta Home creative director, Miles Redd,  had a hand in this masterpiece and I thank him since it makes a dreaded trip to the D&D Building a whole lot more enjoyable!

Heather,
These a beautiful photographs of a beautiful room. I also believe that Miles Redd helped design this room. Perfect.

Wow! i never thought I would love green walls. And the tufted sofa at the foot of the bed is just divine.

Wow this is great! So much character. I am not usually a fan of such a deep green colour, but it totally works. Gorgeous furniture and love the artwork too.
Your blog is lovely, beautiful images and really interesting :)

Fabulous room! I'm interested to hear why you dread the D&D building? I'm an interior designer in London and our equivalent to the D&D is Chelsea Harbour and I literally dread going there (and have to go there all the time) mainly because the showroom staff are incredibly, often visciously rude.

Love that green, reminds me of a bedroom that I just finished in P & L scarab green. The color of an Egyptian beetle.

That is quite possibly the most beautiful green wall color I have ever seen. Fresh, rich, not too "hunter" and an unexpectedly lovely back drop for art! Miles and Oscar are a well paired match! Looking forward to more of their joint ventures!

That is a unique (and perfect) shade of green. Do you think it will start a trend in the design world? I yearn for a return to richness. Thanks for the great photos. Mary

I am not a fan of dark green. But I must say, these are classy, and very nicely done!

These buildings that house all of the wonderful fabrics and furniture are so cold and uninteresting - time to create a more inspiring environment - or go back to the design district in Miami
