I made it safely back to New York but the snow is still piled high on every street corner. Makes me wish I had a fireplace and a fur blanket like in the home of Spanish designer Tony Espuch. Looks like a great space to throw a New Year's Eve soiree as well!

That Chesterfield will haunt my dreams. Oh how I want one!
I'm glad to hear you're safe. It's being crazy in Canada too, lots of snow and the roads can get really slippery. Nothing like a real fire to warm you up and calm you down. Last night I was just doing that after putting my kids to bed... I felt blessed.
That's interesting.. I also posted today about a place in Spain! It's very different than yours and I love both! Yours is very rustic and I dream with a place like that!
Have a great day, Heather and enjoy the last days of 2010! Can you believe it?! :-)

ADORE this fabulously chic loft space. Would be a spectacular party space for sure! Reminds me of SoHo in the old days!!
When can I move in? Super chic and cozy! Glad you made it back safely. Stay warm...

I love how this space manages to look both chic and absolutely comfortable.
I love all the stacked wood around the fireplace. What is it about outdoors-y, rustic interiors that feel so cozy and inviting!?

The leather sofa and chest are positively yummy! Thank you for sharing these delightful photos!
extremely cool... and cozy...
Oooohhhh.... normally I'm just not a loft fan at all, too cold! But this proves me so, so wrong! So love it... :) Meg
I love the idea of wood stacked high by the fireplace, ready to be used at a moment's notice. I don't like the thought of the creepy crawly things that might reside in the wood making their way into the house, though!
Love the kitchen in this post.
Spanish design--always amazing. The unexpected married to traditional. Thanks for the links--I followed one to Joe Cocker/Mad Dogs and Englishmen==super way to start the day. Stay warm.

Heather, this is wonderful! If I didn't have 2 little dogs who need an outside space I would definitely move into a loft space. Those here in Houston are quite unusual; all new, but constructed to look old. I do love all the open spaces & high ceilings. Happy New Year, precious one.

In the New Year I'm dreaming of lofts...I'm so tired of prewar apartments with cut-up rooms and formal defined spaces. I want room to create something unusual and unexpected. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi Heather,
Good to hear you're home safe and sound and hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I live in Vancouver, and have been watching the news about NYC weather and surrounding issues. I hope it melts very soon and lives get back to normal. Thank you for sharing this beautiful post. It's so cosy and warm! Love the kitchen! My home is a new traditional style with smaller rooms - but I know I could live like this too...!
Wow...awesome post. I love all the photos and especially the last one with the fur top of bed. Thanks, B
