Brooks and Barneys

Last week, Barney's named Amanda Cutter Brooks their new women's fashion director.  Sometimes she's just seen as a socialite but Amanda was previously creative director for Tuleh and Hogan.  She's also contributed to Vogue and Men's Vogue.  She also wrote the great book, I Love Your Style.  As my friend Jessica Gold pointed out, "she's a good mix of uptown and downtown with a bit of quirk thrown in for good measure."  I always thought the previous women's fashion director, Julie Gilhart, was a little too downtown for me so it will be interesting to see what Amanda does at Barney's.  Everyone needs a little change to shake things up from time to time including stores.

Ver exciting... I can't wait to see what she'll change. She's a very elegant woman, so I can see she'll bring some elegance to her work too.

My spidey senses tell me that she seems to like fur since she's sporting it in all these shots!

I think Amanda was a fabulous choice! I ♥ Barneys already, but this may take it to a new level!

Also...love the Tory Burch preview. The rope sandals are calling my name!

I love Amandas,s style. Her book is really great because her sense of fasahion is original and avant gard. I think she is going to do a great job at Barneys
