Parisian Chic

I recently came across another amazing apartment in Paris that was featured in the February/March 2011 issue of Côté Paris magazine. I absolutely love the living room and period details but not as much the bedroom's wood paneling. But to each his own I guess.  A good reminder about everything in life, not just interiors.

That pair of lamps on the mantel are stunning. Wouldn't mind having them in my home. Wonderful photos.

That scalloped-shaped lamp is incredibly beautiful. I wonder what material or fabric it's made from.

I also like the red polka-dot painting with the white background and of course the courtyard.

What is amazing about the architectural details is that they speak for themselves, and don't require color to add interest to the room. I love love how all the walls are painted white and match the trim.

Beyond fascinated with the space pics as art, given I'm in the space science business (if you can call it a business :) ). Whose apartment is this? Normally style and space don't go so well together :)

I actually love the wood paneling in the bedroom. The ladder idea is ingenious! I just designed a library that still needs a ladder and I wish I'd thought of that! Too late now... :(

This interior is so deceiving. You just kind of glance over it the first time then something caught my eye and I spent an hour looking at the details. Wonderful details. This is going in my file of favorites.

Really terrific! Great post.

This is a beautiful apartment. I agree with what you said - to each his own.
Sometimes this notion becomes lost when looking at the photos because it's all so visual & we don't know who lives within the walls... Yup, different strokes for different folks!!!! That said, these folks invited the photographer in and it's all soooo much fun to look and have an opinion!

The architecture in those spaces, particularly in the first one, just sings! Love the moulding & that it's all painted white - very chic!

Everything so beautiful and perfect...What must it be like to wander through those rooms at dawn...cup of cafe-au-lait in hand...?...sigh

Gorgeous architectural details and soaring ceilings. Love the lamps too, but would like a couple more pillows and a throw. An end table or two would be nice. Where am I supposed to put my glass of Champagne?

Cheers,

Claudia
