True Blue

Romy Schneider wore blue shirts in so many films that I have to wonder if it was part of her own style or something that was just popular in the early 1970's.  Of course, a blue shirt is always in style and is a staple of my own wardrobe.  I feel like I'm always on the hunt for the perfect blue shirt and I wish I could find one that looks as soft and luxurious as the one Romy wears in Cesar et Rosalie (above and below), albeit with a slightly smaller collar. I think I might pop over to J.Crew today and look at their options while you enjoy this look at other fans of the blue shirt.

Carine Roitfeld is also a fan of the blue shirt in stripes and solids.

This is a GREAT post--please, please, please add a pinterest button to your post--that's the only way (as far as I know) to post individual pictures and not the entire post. Merci! LOVE your style!

The blue shirt is classic summer and although I haven't worn one this year I think I'll get a head start on next summer by shopping the end-of-season sales. Ditto on Brooks Brothers (no-iron)shirts...Hmmm, do they ever go on sale?!

I must now own a blue shirt! I love all chic classics when it comes to my wardrobe and must admit this is one I don't currently own. Luckily Westfield London is a 2 mins walk from home so off to find one today!
Inspired posts as always! Thank you

I have VERY old Brooks Brothers blue stripe shirt that I have ritualized, I love it so much. But Pinks makes a great blue shirt and I have a good Jill McGowan blue shirt too.

This post sent me to my closet to rummage. I wore Ralph Lauren Oxford cloth shirts all the time. Blue being my favorite color. They especially looked good un-ironed and even with frayed collar and cuffs and worked with all types of pants. A true classic. Thanks.
