From Montauk Point

From Montaul Point

I stand as on some mighty eagle's beak,
Eastward the sea absorbing, viewing,
(nothing but sea and sky,)
The tossing waves, the foam, the ships in the distance,
The wild unrest, the snowy, curling caps-
that inbound urge and urge of waves,
Seeking the shores forever.

- Walt Whitman

It's been grey and rainy in New York which seems fitting since I've been under the weather. What better time to revisit my recent visit to Montauk.  It was a gorgeous day that everyone enjoyed as you will see below. Bon weekend!

My friend Jess's dog Knox also enjoyed the view.

Your photos are beautiful. Unfortunately, they cannot capture one thing, the Air or should I say the Aire. The fresh crisp scent. It almost feels like there is more oxygen in it. Looks like you had a great weekend.

I love Montauk and you captured it well in your photos. My favorite little surprise is the lovely garden just off the old Lightkeeper's house at Montauk Lighthouse.

These photos are fantastic. These should be referenced in the dictionary under "American Beaches" because these capture the essence so well. Thanks!

I hope you are recovering well. The photos from Montauk Point are wonderful. Did Knox (a beautiful golden) get to romp in the waves?

My favorite place in the world! And I'm lucky enough to call it HOME.
